Kelsey Iris

A proud First Nation's Woman belonging to the Murrawarri, Yuwaalaraay, Gamilaroi & Wiradjuri tribes. She calls home 'maayama yuluwirri-ba' (place of rainbow stone) on the Murilla's (ridges) of small opal-mining town Lightning Ridge in far West New South Wales.

Kelsey shines as a musician, singer-songwriter and producer, although quiet-achieving her music career boasts numerous successes, including performances at popular Australian music festivals and collaborations with accomplished and well renowned Australian artists.

In 2021 she joined the amazingly talented rapper, drummer, composer and producer DOBBY on his Warrangu; River Story Tour, sharing song & stories with community back on country where the Barwon, Culgoa and Bogan rivers connect them. One of the highlights of her career is being featured on DOBBY's newly released Warrangu; River Story album (2024) with her original song 'Rivers Run Dry'.

In 2025, Kelsey hopes to release a new Yuwaalaraay and Gamilaraay language album with the birralii (children) from her community in Lightning Ridge in partnership with Woganurra Aboriginal Corporation.
